The Parang La Trek

Lamayuru - Chiling Trek

According to legend, Lamayuru was once a lake, which miraculously disappeared by the hand of Lotsawa Naropa. The monastery at Lamayuru built in the 10th is one of the oldest in Ladakh, and belongs to the Kargyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism. This trek offers not only view of the many natural beauties of Ladakh, but also some of its most famous monasteries and the traditional life style of the natives.

Lamayuru - Alchi via Tarla

  • Duration: 5 Days
  • Grade: Moderate
  • Highest point: Tarla (5250mtrs)
  • Highlights: It is a very interesting route to explore oldest Monasteries like Wanla,Mang gyu and Alchi dating back to the 11th century built by the great translator Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo. This trek is unique in that it offers an opportunity to see not only the many natural beauties of Ladakh, but also some of its most famous Monasteries.

Hemis - Padum via Jumlang Trek

  • Duration: 20 days (10 days trekking)
  • Grade: Moderate
  • Highlights: This itinerary is very less frequented/wild follows and we have to cross-river and stream many times. The trek will be an ideal in September only when flow of water is low. Until Zangla during first seven days, we will not see any single village.
